Happy Healthy You
A fantastic session at Manningham Library doing Pilates and yoga! 90% of the ladies hadn’t exercised before, especially in yoga and Pilates. They were asking about other classes.
We are ready for the Rethinking Pain session starting next week, straight after class. So please join us if you know anyone suffering from pain.
Happy Healthy You
Delivered a session at St John’s Community Church in BD10.
The session aimed to empower women to establish and maintain healthy boundaries, enhancing their overall well-being.
The ladies explored three boundary styles:
-
Porous Boundaries: Overly open, leading to burnout and resentment.
-
Healthy Boundaries: Assertive and respectful, promoting mutual respect and understanding.
-
Rigid Boundaries: Overly restrictive, leading to isolation and disconnection.
Emotional Boundaries: Setting limits on emotional labor and emotional expression.
Time Boundaries: Prioritising time and energy, saying “no” without guilt.
Physical Boundaries: Respecting personal space and physical touch.
Relationship Boundaries: Establishing expectations in relationships, prioritising self-care.
The ladies left feeling empowered, with a renewed sense of self-awareness and practical tools to establish healthy boundaries. One participant shared, “I realised I’ve been people-pleasing for years. It’s time to prioritise myself.”
Happy Healthy You’s session fostered a supportive community, promoting emotional and mental wellbeing among Bradford’s diverse women.

9 ladies gathered at Eccleshill Library in Bradford to share their personal struggles with anxiety, from cultural pressures to social expectations, and how anxiety affected their daily lives, relationships, and overall wellbeing. The session aimed to create a safe space for women to open up and support one another.
❣️ The ladies shared their top tips for managing anxiety:
-
Breathing exercises: Deep, slow breaths can calm the mind and body.
-
Mindfulness: Focus on the present moment, without judgment.
-
Physical activity: Regular exercise reduces anxiety symptoms.
-
Support networks: Surround yourself with people who uplift and understand you.
-
Self-care: Prioritise activities that bring joy and relaxation.
-
Journaling: Write down thoughts and emotions to process and release.
-
Grounding techniques: Focus on the senses to calm the mind.
The session fostered a sense of community and understanding among the ladies. They felt empowered to prioritise their mental health and support one another. The library became a hub for women to connect, share, and heal together.
Thank you, @Sue Wilson, Bradford Libraries, for being a great partner to work with💖

New beginnings are unfolding across the BD3 and BD5 communities in Bradford!
This week, we had the pleasure of delivering our Rethinking Pain sessions to the wonderful ladies at Manningham Library and the West Bowling Centre. Their openness, courage, and willingness to explore new ways of understanding chronic pain have been truly inspiring.
Client Feedback
