A Moment of Gratitude and Celebration
This month brought something really special for us at Happy Healthy You… our founder, Humera Khan, was nominated for Female Sports Personality of the Year by the Muslim Sunnah Foundation.
She placed in the top three, and although she didn’t take home the award, the recognition itself means so much. It represents years of hard work, growth, and a personal journey from struggling with health to supporting thousands of people across Bradford and beyond.
The event was filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit — and it was beautiful to see partners, familiar faces, and friends who have been part of HHU’s journey. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do… and how powerful movement, health, and togetherness can be.
Humera shared a simple reflection that guides our work every day:
“My religion teaches me that helping others is the biggest gift we can give to ourselves… and if I’ve been able to do that for even one person, it’s a true honour.”
We carry that belief into every class, every programme, and every interaction with our community.
Here’s to breaking stereotypes, celebrating movement in our communities, and continuing to build a healthier, stronger Bradford — together.
Stay tuned for more HHU news, updates, and stories…

FEMALE SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR
Bradford & Beyond: A Celebration of Community, Culture, and Connection
We’re truly excited to share something special with you.
This project, supported by Bradford 2025 – UK City of Culture, holds a deep place in our hearts at Happy Healthy You. It reflects everything we stand for: people coming together, moving together, and growing together.
The video you’re about to watch captures the power of a simple idea — that sport and movement can unite people from completely different backgrounds and create something real… something meaningful… something beautiful.
At its core, this project is about:
- Friendship
- Connection
- Belonging
These aren’t just words to us. They’re the values we live by at HHU. They’re the reason we show up, the reason we create, and the reason we continue to build spaces where everyone feels welcome, supported, and seen.
Bradford and beyond — this is for you.
This is community in motion.
This is Happy Healthy You.
