Spring Celebration Day at Lister Park
As we approach the arrival of spring, Happy Healthy You Bradford & Beyond was delighted to collaborate with Bradford District Museums & Galleries to deliver a community Spring Celebration Day at Lister Park and Cartwright Hall.
This event was designed to promote wellbeing, creativity, and community connection, offering a welcoming space for individuals and families to engage in positive activities as we transition into the new season.
HHU Activities (11:00am – 1:00pm)
Our team delivered a range of wellbeing‑focused sessions, including:
• Mindfulness Yoga
• Stress Ball Making
These activities encouraged relaxation, emotional regulation, and creative expression for participants of all ages.
Partner Contributions
We were pleased to work alongside several valued partners who enriched the event with their expertise:
• Yorkshire Wildlife Trust – Nature‑based activities
• Empower You – Self‑defence taster session
• Leeds Trinity University – Nature and Poetry engagement
Their involvement added depth and variety to the day, supporting our shared commitment to community wellbeing.
A Free and Inclusive Community Event
This was a free event, open to all members of the community. We were pleased to welcome a diverse range of attendees and are grateful to everyone who joined us in celebrating the start of spring.
We look forward to continuing our work across Bradford and delivering further opportunities for connection, learning, and wellbeing.

Highlights and News
Happy Healthy You, delivered a powerful session on Grief Loss, at Bradford Academy. This was tailored for the year 10 PSHE curriculum.
We kicked off the new year with an impactful wellbeing session for over 200 Year 10 students and staff at Bradford Academy.
The topic affects many young people but is often difficult to talk about.
The HHY team delivered a clear, sensitive, and engaging session covering:
• What grief and loss really mean
• Common symptoms and emotional responses
• Where to find help and how to support others.
Students were fully engagedthroughout, asking thoughtful questions and taking part in a myth busting quiz.
Bradford Academy, would recommend Happy Healthy You and have booked us to return in February.

Bradford & Beyond: A Celebration of Community, Culture, and Connection
We’re truly excited to share something special with you.
This project, supported by Bradford 2025 – UK City of Culture, holds a deep place in our hearts at Happy Healthy You. It reflects everything we stand for: people coming together, moving together, and growing together.
The video you’re about to watch captures the power of a simple idea — that sport and movement can unite people from completely different backgrounds and create something real… something meaningful… something beautiful.
At its core, this project is about:
- Friendship
- Connection
- Belonging
These aren’t just words to us. They’re the values we live by at HHU. They’re the reason we show up, the reason we create, and the reason we continue to build spaces where everyone feels welcome, supported, and seen.
Bradford and beyond — this is for you.
This is community in motion.
This is Happy Healthy You.
