Impact Numbers on Our Activities
Happy Healthy You has been a catalyst for change across Bradford, reaching diverse communities and creating spaces for connection, support, and health improvement. Our online sessions alone have drawn in over 600 women from different backgrounds, with more than 20 participants joining each session over the past four years. The transformative power of these sessions is evident: 96% of regular attendees report significant improvements in their physical health, and 81% feel notable boosts in their mental well-being. These sessions are particularly impactful within the South Asian community (60% of our participants), as well as among White British (15%), Refugees (15%), and others (10%).
Face-to-face programs for women have also seen remarkable participation, with over 1000+ women joining us across 50+ community locations, including mosques, churches, and temples. Through activities ranging from group sessions to bootcamps, 87% of regular participants report noticeable gains in their physical health, demonstrating the life-changing impact of our community-centered approach.
Our men’s groups, meeting in accessible community locations like Mosques, Gudwaras, Churches, Lister Park, and Manningham Library, have engaged over 300 men, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose. The effects on health are profound—85% of these men report improved physical health, while 92% express enhanced mental well-being. With 70% of participants coming from the South Asian community, 10% White British, 15% Refugee or Asylum Seekers, and 5% others, our groups reach those who may face barriers to mainstream support, offering a trusted space for personal growth.
Our mental health sessions, held in accessible venues like GP surgeries, community centers, and local parks, have seen truly inspiring outcomes. Among regular attendees, 98% report improved physical health, and every single participant (100%) shares that their mental health has positively transformed. These figures underscore the vital role our programs play in promoting well-being across Bradford and beyond.
